The house as seen when approaching the house from the lower parking area. Its entry is
in the stucco house to the left of the
historic stone stairway.
A street seen when descending from the
upper parking area toward the house.
Another view of the house as seen when approaching the house from
the lower parking area.

Although pictured in many coffeetable books, the approach is somewhat hidden and, unlike the lower town of Collodi, it is only rarely and lightly visited by tourists, sometimes trekkers and even equestrians on very rare occasions who lead their horses to water in the small fountain in the Piazza della Fontana as seen from the house. The village is inhabited by local, very friendly and helpful Italian families, albeit with little English spoken.
